I’m Jenna Miller, founder of Ames Play Yard. My husband Jacob and I are parents of five, and like many families in Ames, we’ve struggled to find fun things to do indoors during the long Iowa winters. A few years ago, we visited an indoor playground in Minnesota and left with the idea of creating something similar here at home.
We imagined a space that would be fun for kids and welcoming for parents. That’s what Ames Playyard is all about. We’ve created two unique play zones, one for toddlers and one for bigger kids, plus basketball courts for anyone who still loves to shoot hoops. There are party rooms, plenty of seating, and a parent-friendly lounge with Wi-Fi.
Our goal is simple. We want kids to have a safe place to play, and we want parents to feel comfortable while they’re here.
